Qualifications and Experience

According to the university, applicants must be proficient in computer use for every advertised role.

Senior Lecturer (AHUASS 05): Candidates should be recognized experts in their discipline, holding a Ph.D. from a reputable institution, with a record of publications in respected local, national and international journals, and where relevant, professional memberships. They must also have a minimum of three years of full‑time university teaching, research and administrative experience.

Lecturer I (AHUASS 04): Applicants are required to possess a Ph.D. from a reputable university and demonstrate scholarly output in reputable journals, alongside any pertinent professional memberships.

Lecturer II (AHUASS 03): Candidates should have either a Ph.D. in the relevant field or a Master's degree complemented by at least four scholarly publications.

Assistant Lecturer (AHUASS 02): Applicants must hold at least a Master's degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited university.

The university indicated that a MB;BS degree is mandatory for roles in the Physiology and Medical Biochemistry departments.

Non-Academic Positions

Technologist II (AHUSS 07)

Candidates must hold an O’Level Certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, and also possess a B.Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy or Physiology.

System Analyst II (AHUSS 07)

Applicants are required to have an O’Level Certificate with a minimum of five credits, covering English Language and Mathematics, together with a B.Sc. in Library and Information Science.

Clinical Instructor (AHUSS 09)

Prospective staff must present an O’Level Certificate with at least five credits, English Language and Mathematics among them, and a B.Sc. in Nursing Science.

The university further clarified that proficiency in computer use and a valid NYSC discharge certificate or certificate of exemption are compulsory where they apply.

Conditions of Service

The terms of employment are said to be on par with those offered by public universities across Nigeria.
