The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has informed applicants that the cut‑off for its online hostel reservation for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year has been pushed back.

The notice, dated September 15, 2026, was released by the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.

Pre-Registration Instructions

Prospective residents should first go to the campus Microfinance Bank to obtain a hostel PIN and have it validated before the portal becomes active on September 30, 2026.

Important Booking and Payment Information

Students must settle the required fee immediately after completing the online reservation; otherwise, their temporary hold will lapse. Once payment is confirmed, they need to verify the transaction on the portal and promptly print both the official Hostel Permit and the Hostel Receipt. The university emphasized that room allocation will only be confirmed after the payment verification and the printing steps are finished. Applicants who skip these steps or neglect to print the permit and receipt will not receive any assistance under any circumstances.
