In 2027, LASUSTECH is set to mark a historic milestone by conducting its inaugural convocation, during which 1,364 inaugural undergraduates—dubbed the “IMPACT Pioneers”—will receive their degrees.

These learners, who entered the university after its official conversion from Lagos State Polytechnic in February 2022 and officially enrolled on 29 March 2023, will be awarded qualifications from four faculties: Agriculture; Applied and Social Sciences; Basic Sciences; and Environmental Design & Technology.

Their academic tracks cover 25 distinct disciplines such as Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Estate Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Building Technology, and several other areas.

The university reports that throughout their studies, students benefited from intensive scholarly instruction paired with hands‑on laboratory sessions, industry‑oriented training, research projects, innovation activities, and entrepreneurship development.

LASUSTECH was founded with the aim of transforming science and technology education, emphasizing high‑quality learning rooted in scientific inquiry, technological advancement, innovation, and real‑world problem solving.

The upcoming 2027 convocation is anticipated to convene a diverse audience that includes government representatives, business executives, traditional chiefs, diplomats, education sector stakeholders, alumni, parents, and other supporters.

Kuye, LASUSTECH’s Director of Information and Public Relations, remarked that the graduates’ successful completion of their programmes underscores the institution’s stability, academic excellence, and dedication to developing professionals equipped with both expertise and leadership character.
