After the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) decided to halt its current strike, the administration of Kaduna State University is delighted to declare that teaching and learning will recommence on 21 September 2026.

This move comes after receiving the green light from His Excellency the Governor of Kaduna State, who also serves as the University Visitor, to adopt and internalize the 2025 federal‑government‑ASUU agreement for the university’s academic staff, together with subsequent endorsements from the University Governing Council and the senior management team.

The administration extends its gratitude to the Governor‑Visitor, all government officials, the Governing Council, ASUU‑KASU, non‑teaching personnel, students, parents, and every other stakeholder for their patience, understanding and dedication throughout the period of industrial action.

As academic activities restart, the university calls on every member of its community to enter this new chapter with a fresh pledge to peace, mutual respect, discipline, productivity and the pursuit of academic excellence.

Students are especially invited back to the lecture halls, and are encouraged to approach their studies with renewed focus and determination to achieve substantive progress in their educational goals.
