Rivers State University (RSU) in Nkpolu‑Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has officially opened the admission clearance window for applicants who received provisional offers for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The announcement targets only those students who have confirmed their place through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Prospective admitters must access the University Candidate Admission Portal at https://apply.rsu.edu.ng to start the clearance steps.

The clearance process requires candidates to:

• Log into the portal using the JAMB Registration Number together with the required credentials.
• Complete the clearance and settle the stipulated acceptance and other initial fees via the online system.
• Upload clear, scanned copies of the following documents:
• JAMB Admission Letter printed from the CAPS portal
• JAMB UTME Result Slip
• O‑Level certificates from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB; if you sat the exam twice, both result slips must be uploaded.
• Birth Certificate, Declaration of Age or Attestation of Birth
• Valid Local Government Identification
• Download the attached forms from the portal and print them for the physical faculty clearance.

Clearance Deadline

The university states that the clearance period will run from 23 September to 30 November 2026.

Applicants who do not finish the process within this timeframe risk having their admission offers withdrawn.

RSU also cautions that all information submitted must match the records held by JAMB. Any candidate discovered to have provided falsified or altered documents may see their admission rescinded at any point during their studies.

After the online steps are completed, each student must take the printed and completed forms to the respective faculty for file opening.
