The Dennis Osadebay University (DOU) in Asaba, Delta State, announced that it will re‑examine admission files submitted by JUPEB applicants who omitted their JAMB registration numbers from the university’s online portal for the 2026/2027 academic year.
University officials disclosed this decision in a newsletter issued on Thursday, 22 October 2026, noting that the sanction applies to every JUPEB applicant who failed to attach a JAMB registration number while completing the admission application.
The administration added that any reconsideration of admission will be contingent upon the existence of vacant slots in the chosen programmes and on each candidate’s fulfillment of DOU’s admission criteria.
The university emphasized that this approval does not equate to automatic entry; applicants will still undergo evaluation in line with the outlined conditions.
Additionally, officials revealed that the Nursing Science and Law courses are presently closed to new applicants.
All JUPEB candidates impacted by the omission are urged to note this update and to verify that they satisfy the university’s admission requirements for the 2026/2027 session.
