The Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) has published essential details and registration instructions for incoming and newly accepted students.

The university directs applicants to its official portal at portal.futia.edu.ng to start the application and registration procedures.

According to a release from the university’s Information and Public Relations unit, the portal enables students to set up and verify accounts, settle required fees, fill out biodata forms, enroll in courses, and retrieve their matriculation numbers.

FUTIA Registration Fees

The institution enumerates the following charges that must be paid via the portal:

• Screening Fee: ₦2,000
• Acceptance Fee: ₦30,000
• O'Level Result Verification Fee: ₦3,000

In addition, learners must settle their tuition fees and complete online course registration through the same system.

Steps to Create a FUTIA Student Portal Account

Prospective candidates should follow these actions to open an account and finish registration:

• Access https://portal.futia.edu.ng and click the “Click here to apply” link.
• Choose “Apply Now” from the top navigation and pick “Undergraduate”.
• Provide the required personal details, including a valid phone number and email address, then press “Next”.
• On the payment review screen, select “Make Payment” to go to the payment page.
• Verify the payment information and click “Submit”.
• Input the ATM card data for a Mastercard, Visa, or Verve card and confirm.
• Enter the One‑Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number and hit “Continue” to finish the transaction.
• After the payment succeeds, return to the portal, click “Main Login”, enter your JAMB registration number and use your surname as the password.
• Press “Login” and finish the biodata and registration steps.
• Download or print the completed biodata/registration form together with the payment receipt for your records.

Important Notice to Students

FUTIA stresses that the passport‑style photograph uploaded on the portal must feature a red background.
