University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT pre-degree programmes application form in the faculties of Education and Humanities is out for the 2017/2018 academic session.The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).

Latest Update: The  on-going sales of form for PRE-DEGREE PROGRAMME  has been extended to Friday, 29th December, 2017 and for aptitude test to hold on Friday, 12th January, 2018.

Authorities of University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invite applications from suitably qualified candidates, for admission into any of the following one year Pre-degree Programmes in the Faculties of Humanities and Education, for the 2017/2018 Session.

ELIGIBILITY: The Programme is open to applicants with a minimum of five (5) Credits in not more than two sittings in English Language and other relevant subjects [in GCE, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB & TC II (TC II is applicable for applicants for Faculty of Education)].

COURSE DURATION: The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).

Candidates should possess WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB Ordinary Level with credit passes in 5 relevant subjects. See the list of subjects below for details.

NOTE: (i) For Successful Candidates from the Pre-degree Programme, credit in French is not compulsory
(ii) The Certificat d Etudes Francaise, 2 Degree, is acceptable as a Credit Pass in French

How to Apply for UNIPORT Pre-Degree Admission.

Application is online, Log on to www.uniport.edu.ng and follow the instruction; a fee of Ten Thousand Naira only (N10,000.00), excluding Bank charges is required. Payment should be made at U &C Micro Finance Bank LTD, Access Bank, First Bank, UBA and Fidelity Bank Nationwide.

The names on candidates’ O’ Level Certificates must be same as what is filled online. Any False information given automatically disqualifies the applicant.

COMMENCEMENT DATE: Online application would commence from Monday, July 24, 2017.

CLOSING DATE: The closing date for application is Friday, 17th November, 2017 Friday, 29th December, 2017.

APTITUDE TEST: The University Aptitude Test will take place on Saturday, 25th November, 2017 Friday, 12th January, 2018.. The Venue shall be the Ashgrove Academy, UNIPORT.

Materials Needed for the Screening Exercise
Candidates are required to come with the following and be at the Venue by 8.00am
– A clear copy of Photocard printed online
– Biro, HB pencil, eraser
– Non – Programmable Calculator

REGISTRATION: Registration of successful candidates will be announced in due course.

To transit to the Degree Programme, in addition to the required 5 Credits, the candidate must

1. PASS THE PRESCRIBED PRE-DEGREE EXAMINATIONS

2. HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (UTME) SUBJECT     COMBINATION AND

3. HAVE THE NATIONAL MINIMUM SCORE IN THE 2018/2019 UTME AND MUST HAVE CHOSEN THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT
