Bayelsa Medical University, Yenagoa (BMU), invites all prospective candidates who have selected the institution as their first choice, as well as those who intend to change their first-choice institution to BMU, to apply for admission for the 2025/2026 academic session. Eligible candidates must have a UTME score of 150 and above in the 2025 JAMB UTME. Applications must be submitted online via BMU Application Portal, with an application fee of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira), payable using an ATM debit card through Interswitch.

Screening Method

The screening for all candidates will be conducted strictly online, based on the evaluation of the submitted qualifying results. There will be no physical Post-UTME screening. Candidates are required to complete the online application and upload the following documents during registration:

• 2025 UTME Result Slip

• O'Level Results (with credits in relevant subjects)

• WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Scratch Card details (if applicable)

• B.Sc/HND/ND/NCE/A'Level Certificate (for Direct Entry candidates only)

• Birth Certificate or Statutory Declaration of Age Certificate

• Certificate of Origin

• Recent Passport Photograph

Direct Entry

Candidates applying through Direct Entry must have the following qualifications:

• B.Sc/HND/ND/NCE/A'Level Certificate (including IJMB, JUPEB, and Institute of Baccalaureate)

• Candidates who meet these requirements may also be considered for admission through Inter-University Transfer, provided they meet the appropriate CGPA.

General Admission Requirements

1. O'Level Requirements: Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects, achieved in not more than two sittings.

2. JAMB CAPS: All candidates must upload their O'Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal as a pre-condition for admission.

3. Candidates should regularly check the BMU website, www.bmu.edu.ng, for updates regarding their admission status.
