The Student Affairs Division of Taraba State University, Jalingo, has released an important notice to all new students admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session, specifically addressing hostel accommodations. In a recent public announcement, signed by the Dean of Students, Dr. Atando Dauda Agbu, the university provided crucial instructions for students who have made reservations in the Zenith, Presidential, Teffund 2013, Teffund 2014, and JJT Halls.
To proceed with their accommodations, these students are required to reprint their updated reservation slips through the university portal. This step is mandatory, as the new slip must be verified by Hall Officers before any accommodation services can be provided. The university has stressed the importance of treating this information with the seriousness it deserves.
Regarding payments, the university has issued a stern warning against making cash payments for hostel accommodations to any individual, whether within or outside the university premises. All related payments must be made exclusively through the official online channels. The management has clearly stated that it will not be held responsible for any financial losses resulting from cash transactions. Moreover, disciplinary sanctions will be imposed on any student found making cash payments or on anyone caught receiving cash for hostel spaces.
The notice, dated January 10, 2026, is aimed at all newly admitted 100-level UTME and 200-level Direct Entry students, as well as parents and the general public, to ensure they are properly guided and compliant with the university's regulations.
