The Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, has officially announced the postponement of its 48th Matriculation Ceremony, which was initially set for Thursday, 26th February 2026. This news came through a press release from the Students' Union Government (SUG) Directorate of Publicity/PRO/Media for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
The postponement also affects the Orientation Programme for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, with new dates to be announced later. The SUG has assured the polytechnic community that updates on both events will be communicated in due course.
The SUG President, H.E. Comr. Nwosu Desmond O., signed the statement, while Comr. Barr. Adaeze Precious M., the SUG Director of Publicity/PRO/Media, published the release. The union has apologized for any inconvenience this may cause and has urged all students and staff to stay alert for future updates.
