The Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, Katsina has released its approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session.
The academic calendar outlines key dates for the first and second semesters. For the first semester, the duration is set at 16 weeks, starting from June 1st, 2026, and ending on September 19th, 2026. Late registration will take place from June 1st to 7th, 2026, with lectures commencing on June 1st, 2026.
Key milestones for the first semester include the submission of draft question papers on June 29th, 2026, moderation of these papers from July 6th to 10th, 2026, and the semester examination from August 31st to September 19th, 2026. A semester break is scheduled from September 21st to 26th, 2026.
The second semester will last for 15 weeks, from September 28th, 2026, to January 9th, 2027, with lectures starting on September 28th, 2026. Important dates in the second semester include the submission of draft question papers on October 30th, 2026, and the semester examination from December 21st, 2026, to January 9th, 2027.
Additional activities include SIWES, which is set for 4 months starting from January 11th, 2027, and a long vacation semester of 6 weeks from March 27th to May 8th, 2027, subject to the approval of the Academic Board.
