The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the minimum cut-off marks for Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, and Colleges of Nursing for the 2026/2027 academic session. The announcement was made during the JAMB policy meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, vice-chancellors, rectors, and registrars of higher institutions, among other stakeholders.

Candidates should note that these cut-off marks are the minimum scores required for admission. Institutions can set their cut-off marks above the minimum set by JAMB but cannot admit candidates below the minimum scores. The minimum cut-off marks are as follows: 150 for Universities, 150 for Colleges of Nursing, and 100 for Polytechnics. For Colleges of Education and Agriculture, no UTME score is required, exempting candidates from UTME for Education Programs (NCE) and non-Engineering Agriculture courses.

With the cut-off marks announced, public tertiary institutions will start selling Post-UTME forms and announcing screening dates. Candidates should be on the lookout for these announcements and start preparing for the Post-UTME screening exercise by getting past questions and answers. This preparation will help them adequately prepare for the screening.
