The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the change of course and institution process for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates can now proceed to accredited centres or JAMB offices to effect the necessary changes. It is essential to note that a payment of ₦2,500, plus a service charge of ₦700 to ₦1,000, will be required for the process.
To initiate the change, candidates should visit an accredited CBT centre with their registration slip and request for a correction of data. They will then be required to provide their new choices, undergo biometric verification, and collect a Change of Data Slip as proof of the transaction.
Before proceeding with the change, candidates are advised to confirm if they meet the requirements of the new course and institution. It is crucial to ensure that the change is necessary and that the candidate's UTME score meets the requirements of the new institution and course.
Candidates who need guidance on the change of course or institution can provide their details, including their current course and institution, the intended change, reason for the change, and UTME score. This will enable informed individuals to offer advice on whether the change is a good move or not.
