The management of Zamfara State University (ZAMSU) has officially released the updated academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session through its Academic Planning Division under the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

This comprehensive schedule outlines critical dates and durations for both the first and second semesters. For the first semester, registration of new and returning students will last for 6 weeks, from Monday, 3rd November 2025 to Saturday, 20th December 2025.

Lectures for the first semester will commence on Monday, 22nd December 2025, and will last for 13 weeks, ending on Saturday, 28th March 2026. A mid-semester break is scheduled to take place from Monday, 9th February 2026 to Saturday, 14th February 2026.

After the break, lectures and revision will continue for 6 weeks, from Monday, 16th February 2026 to Saturday, 28th March 2026. The first-semester examinations will then take place from Monday, 30th March 2026 to Saturday, 10th May 2026.

Following the examinations, there will be a 2-week break for marking from Monday, 11th May 2026 to Saturday, 24th May 2026. The second semester will commence on Monday, 25th May 2026, with lectures lasting for 13 weeks until Saturday, 29th August 2026.

A mid-semester break for the second semester is scheduled from Monday, 13th July 2026 to Saturday, 19th July 2026. Lectures will then continue from Monday, 20th July 2026 to Saturday, 23rd August 2026.

The second-semester examinations will take place from Monday, 31st August 2026 to Saturday, 26th September 2026. This will be followed by a 4-week break for marking and moderation from Monday, 28th September 2026 to Saturday, 31st October 2026.

Finally, the 2026/2027 academic session is set to commence on Monday, 2nd November 2026. Students are advised to take note of the updated academic calendar and plan accordingly.
