The Management of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), has alerted the general public to the activities of fraudsters circulating false information about a purported recruitment exercise through an unauthorized online portal.

The University clarified that FUNATO has not commenced any recruitment exercise and has not created or approved any recruitment portal at this time. Consequently, all phone calls, text messages, online advertisements, websites, or social media posts claiming to offer employment opportunities on behalf of FUNATO are entirely false and should be disregarded.

Members of the public are strongly advised not to submit applications, personal information, or make any form of payment to individuals or platforms promoting these fraudulent claims.

The University emphasized that whenever recruitment is officially approved, it will be formally announced through FUNATO’s recognised and authorised communication channels only. Until then, the public is urged to remain vigilant and cautious, as scammers often rely on urgency and misinformation to deceive unsuspecting victims.
