The Management of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has fixed Sunday, 25 January 2026 as the final deadline for student registration for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

This directive was communicated through an internal memorandum issued by the Academic Office, Registry Department, dated 9 January 2026, and it applies to all undergraduate students, both fresh and returning.

Details From The Official Memo

According to the memo, signed on behalf of the Registrar by Mrs. Omolola O. Alhassan, Deputy Registrar (Academic), the registration process will officially close at midnight on Sunday, 25 January 2026.

The University made it clear that students are required to complete all registration formalities on or before the deadline. Failure to meet the cut-off date may attract sanctions in line with University regulations.

Distribution Of The Memo

The notice was formally circulated to key University officers, including the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic and Administration), Registrar, Bursar, and University Librarian. Copies were also sent to all Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments.

Important Notice To Students

Students are strongly advised to finalize every aspect of their registration well ahead of the deadline, as the registration portal will shut down exactly at midnight on Sunday, 25 January 2026, with no assurance of extension.

In short: don’t wait till the last minute. Midnight means midnight.
