The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Students' Union Government (SUG) NELFUND Committee has issued a notice to beneficiaries of the NELFUND program for the 2022/2023 and 2024/2025 academic sessions. The notice, signed by Chairman Sen. Adamu A. Mazadu, concerns the submission of refund letters.
All students in the 2022/2023 Batch A category who are yet to receive their refunds must submit their refund letters at the Students' Union Government Secretariat. Additionally, beneficiaries of the 2024/2025 academic session who personally paid their school fees are also required to submit refund letters. These students must attach a photocopy of their original school fees receipt with the RRR payment number clearly written on the receipt.
The submission exercise will take place at the SUG Secretariat according to the following schedule: Venue: SUG Secretariat Date: Wednesday, 11th March 2026 Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Deadline: Thursday, 12th March 2026 Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The committee clarified that graduated students and Industrial Training (IT) students for the 2024/2025 academic session are exempted from this submission process, as their refunds will be processed automatically. Beneficiaries from the 2022/2023 Batch B category who have already resubmitted their bank details but are yet to receive their refunds are advised to remain patient as payment is expected to be processed soon.
The initiative aims to ensure that all pending refunds are cleared before the commencement of the 2025/2026 NELFUND disbursement exercise. The SUG reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the university management to resolve all matters related to the NELFUND program.
