The Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) has alerted the public to a fake job vacancies advertisement circulating on social media platforms. According to the University Management, the advertisement for vacancies, both internal and external, is false, misleading, and unauthorized. It was copied from an old recruitment advertisement published in September 2024 on the University's official website, and the recruitment exercise was concluded.

The public is informed that FUTIA has not advertised any recruitment vacancies in 2026. Therefore, individuals are advised to disregard the fake advertisement and avoid engaging with those claiming to facilitate employment into the University based on this publication.

The University Management emphasized that whenever vacancies exist, they will be officially communicated through recognized national dailies, the University's official website with the date of publication, and the University's verified social media platforms and communication channels. The public is encouraged to verify all information relating to the University through the official channels only.
