The National Universities Commission has given the green light for Kwara State University to launch new academic programmes. This approval takes effect from the 2026/2027 academic session.
The approval was outlined in a letter sent to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, on June 19, 2026. The letter was signed by Abubakar M. Girei, NUC's Director of Academic Planning.
