University community notice:

The Governing Council, in a meeting on Tuesday, 14th July, 2026, has approved the discontinuation of tuition fees payment by installments.

Accordingly, from the 2026/2027 Academic Session, students will no longer be allowed to pay 60% of their tuition fees in the First Semester and 40% in the Second Semester.

Key changes to note:

• All students are now required to pay their approved tuition fees in full at the start of each academic session before completing their registration.
• The University will enforce a strict policy of 'No Payment, No Registration, No Examination.'

Consequences of non-payment:

• Students who fail to pay the prescribed fees in full at the beginning of the session will not be registered and will not be eligible to participate in academic activities or sit for any University examination.

Available financial assistance:

• The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) is an option for students with financial challenges, as it is an intervention scheme designed to assist eligible Nigerian students in financing their education.

Outstanding fee obligations:

• Students who are yet to pay their tuition fees in full for the current 2025/2026 Academic Session are directed to settle their outstanding fee obligations without delay.

Debt recovery measures:

• The University will take measures to recover all outstanding debts, and no student indebted to the University will be allowed to sit for any University examination until the debt is fully cleared.
