At a meeting on 11 September 2026, the Management of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, reviewed the situation after the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU‑FUAM) called off its strike and decided to permit the campus to reopen for all students.
Accordingly, students are instructed to report back to the university premises on Sunday, 13 September 2026, and to resume their study sessions in preparation for the Second Semester examinations scheduled for Monday, 21 September 2026.
The university administration urges every student to observe proper conduct throughout the revision period and during the forthcoming second‑semester assessments.
Final‑year students are specifically reminded that the federal prohibition on “Signing Out” activities remains active; they must therefore refrain from any such actions.
The administration extends a warm welcome to all returning students, wishes them a peaceful environment, and hopes for successful outcomes in the upcoming examinations.
Thank you.
