Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has announced the commencement of its 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening for candidates who selected the university as their first choice or those wishing to switch to UNIOSUN and make it their first choice. To qualify for admission, candidates must have a minimum UTME score of 160. However, those with scores below 200 will not be considered for admission into specific courses such as Nursing, Medicine, Law, and Common and Islamic Law.
Candidates who applied for these programs but scored less than the required marks are encouraged to switch to other relevant programs of their choice.
As per national policy, candidates who will be younger than 16 years of age by September 30, 2025, are not eligible to apply.
Candidates must register online by visiting the university’s website at https://www.uniosun.edu.ng or https://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng to complete and submit their applications. After submission, candidates are required to print two copies of the application form.
Direct Entry candidates must complete the application form online and ensure that they meet the university’s admission requirements. They should also forward their academic transcripts to the Registrar of Osun State University no later than Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Furthermore, all Direct Entry candidates, including those from UNIOSUN's IJMB and JUPEB programs, must have obtained a Direct Entry Form from JAMB and apply for the screening exercise.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a minimum of five credit passes in relevant SSCE/NECO/NABTEB subjects at no more than two sittings. However, for courses like Medicine, Nursing, and Law, candidates must have obtained all five credit passes in a single sitting. Direct Entry candidates may be considered with a minimum of Lower Credit.
Candidates must provide accurate information on the university portal. False information will result in legal action, and the admission of such candidates will be revoked. No refund will be provided to candidates who falsify records. Candidates awaiting results must submit them within one week of release. Failure to participate in the screening exercise will result in disqualification from the admission process.
The 2025/2026 admission exercise will utilize the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), a platform developed by JAMB to automate the admissions process. Candidates are advised to upload their O'Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal as a prerequisite for admission.
Candidates who are offered admission will undergo a mandatory medical examination, including screening for drug use.
To access the registration portal, candidates should visit https://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng. It is crucial to read all guidelines and instructions before proceeding with the registration.
Candidates are required to pay a portal access fee of ₦3,000.00 and a Post UTME screening fee of ₦2,000.00. Payments should be made via the Remita Web PAY platform using ATM cards (MasterCard, Verve, and other REMITA-enabled cards).
