The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), Osogbo, has directed students to pay a minimum of 50 per cent of their tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic session before lectures commence.
The directive was contained in a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar and addressed to all students. Dated December 18, 2025, the notice clarified that the requirement applies strictly to students who did not apply for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
According to the circular, affected students must complete the payment before the university resumes on Monday, January 5, 2026. The management warned that any student who fails to meet the requirement within the stipulated time will be barred from participating in Continuous Assessment and mid-semester examinations for the session.
The university advised students to make payments early to avoid last-minute pressure and potential disruptions to their academic activities. The circular also extended season’s greetings, urging students to enjoy the holiday responsibly.
The notice was signed by Atinuke Abosede Oguntunde, Registrar of the university, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
