Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has announced significant changes to its upcoming Matriculation Ceremony. The Matriculation Monitoring Unit issued an official notice to all newly admitted students, outlining mandatory compliance checks due to logistical adjustments and crowd control concerns.
According to the university, freshers must adhere to strict protocols, including proper attire, wearing their matriculation gowns correctly. Additionally, students are required to arrive early at the ceremony venue, before 6:30 am.
The notice also specifies a seating arrangement, with students seated according to faculty. Furthermore, students must avoid unnecessary movement and noise during the event. The university warned that failure to comply with these directives may lead to a delay in the confirmation of a student's matriculation.
