The Student Union Government (SUG) Transport committee has announced that tricycle operations will resume on campus after successful negotiations with the MOUAU Tricycle Service chairman and secretary. The tricycle executives had pleaded for an increment due to skyrocketing fuel, feeding, and maintenance costs.
After considering their reasons, the SUG President and Director of Transport agreed to the proposed price of 200 naira (cash or transfer). Transport activities are set to resume on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Additionally, the SUG has introduced a free keke transportation initiative on campus in collaboration with the MOUAU Tricycle Service Union. This initiative will take place on April 20 and 21, 2026, from 8 am to 11 am, and is open to both students and staff. The SUG appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the students and staff and remains committed to serving them.
