Oduduwa University has secured full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for 10 academic programmes. This achievement follows the commission's evaluation in October/November 2025, demonstrating the institution's commitment to academic excellence.
The NUC's assessment focused on curriculum, staffing, facilities, and research output. Oduduwa University performed well across three faculties, with notable approvals in Mass Communication, Nursing Science, and Public Administration.
The fully accredited programmes include Public Administration from the Faculty of Administration and Management Science, Nursing Science from the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and Mass Communication from the Faculty of Communication Arts and Media Studies. Additionally, Quantity Surveying from the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, and Microbiology from the Faculty of Science, as well as Economics, Political Science, and International Relations from the Faculty of Social Sciences, have all received full accreditation.
Vice Chancellor Prof. C. I. N. Uche expressed his delight at the outcome, stating that it reflects the university's dedication to producing graduates who meet national and global standards. He emphasized that accreditation ensures the programmes remain relevant and competitive. Prof. Uche also extended his gratitude to the University Financials for providing necessary resources and commended the staff for their significant role in the successful accreditation exercise.
