Gombe State University's Governing Council has officially announced the promotion of several academic staff members to the ranks of Professor and Reader.

According to a recent Special Bulletin issued by the institution, the promotions are a result of favorable external assessment reports.

The council has approved the elevation of several academic staff members, with five Readers being promoted to the rank of Professor and one Senior Lecturer to the rank of Reader.

All promotions are retroactively effective from 1st October 2025, as stated in the official announcement signed by the university's Public Relations Officer.
