The National Universities Commission has granted Venite University a five-year full accreditation for its Bachelor of Nursing Science programme.

This development follows a successful accreditation exercise in May 2026, where the institution recorded a cumulative score of 82.80%.

The approval, conveyed in an official letter dated 13 July 2026, authorises the university to continue offering the programme under the commission's full accreditation status.

This milestone marks a significant achievement for the institution's College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, strengthening its position among universities and expanding access to quality nursing education in Nigeria.

Responding to the approval, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Charity Aremu, described the accreditation as a testament to the university's commitment to maintaining quality academic standards.

She affirmed the university's commitment to driving excellence in quality academic delivery and expressed appreciation to the National Universities Commission for the confidence reposed in the institution.

She acknowledged the collective efforts of the university community that contributed to the successful outcome, commending the Directorate, the Provost of the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, the Head of the Nursing Science Programme, Chairman and members of the accreditation committees, the University staff, and the Venite University Council.

With admissions currently open for the 2026/2027 academic session, this accreditation will further reinforce the university's commitment to industry-relevant training, using its faculty and a learning environment designed to produce skilled professionals with a global competitive advantage.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated the university community on this great achievement, noting that the Nursing programme has become a 'top-notch' programme.
