Details of the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination emerged on Wednesday with Imo State indigenes topping the list of candidates that registered for the examination.
The registrar of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Is-haq Oloyede, has revealed that the exam body registered a total of 1,662,762 candidates for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Mr. Oloyede, who gave a breakdown detail of duly registered candidates for the UTME, said the number of registered candidates for the 2018 UTME decreased by 55,642 compared with the 2017 figure of1,718,425 candidates.

The examination is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 9, to March 17, 2018, and the 1,662,762 registered candidates will be writing the examination across the country in 605 centres.
