The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will next Tuesday set the 2025 entry standards for universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics across the country.
These benchmarks will be decided at this year’s policy meeting, scheduled to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, formerly known as the International Conference Centre.
The Board shared the announcement late Wednesday via its official X handle, @JAMBHQ.
“The 2025 Policy Meeting will be held on 8th July 2025 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja. This gathering brings together stakeholders to discuss and ratify policy guidelines and other admission regulations for the next academic year,” the statement read.
It added that attendance is by invitation only, but interested parties can follow live coverage on JAMB’s social media channels.
According to The Guardian, the annual event convenes education-sector leaders, including heads of tertiary institutions, to hammer out and approve admissions policies.
One key outcome is the establishment of the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores required for admission into higher education institutions.
The Board will also use the meeting to recognize and announce the top performers from the recently concluded UTME.
