The Federal University of Lafia (FUL) has introduced a one-week extension for course registration, aimed at students who have yet to complete this process for the 2024/2025 academic session. This move follows an approval by the Vice-Chancellor and is outlined in a memo signed by the Registrar, Dr. Nuradeen Abdul.
The extension is specifically designed for two groups of students: those who have paid their fees, participated in either the first or second semester examinations, but have not registered their courses, and students currently engaged in the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SiWES) or Teaching Practice for the 2024/2025 session who have paid their fees but not completed course registration.
To facilitate this process, the university's Directorate of Management Information Systems (MIS) has been directed to reopen the registration portal from Thursday, 9th January 2026, to Friday, 16th January 2026, exclusively for these students. The memo, addressed to the President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), highlights the importance of this measure in ensuring the timely processing of results for the affected students.
By taking this step, the university aims to regularize the academic records of eligible students, thereby ensuring the uninterrupted progression of their academic programmes. Students are urged to take note of this opportunity and complete their registration within the specified timeframe.
The initiative underscores the university's commitment to supporting its students and providing them with the necessary framework to succeed in their academic pursuits.
