In a critical advisory, the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Saa’adu Zungur University, located in Bauchi State, is reminding all students of the importance of carrying their School Identification (ID) Cards with them at all times.
The notice, which was released on Friday, emphasizes that the ID card serves as the primary means of verification for students, both within the university premises and beyond. It underscores the essential role the ID card plays not just in the academic setting, but also in emergencies, security checks, or any unexpected situations where verifying student status becomes necessary.
The SRC has warned students that failing to produce a valid ID card when requested by a lecturer or authorized personnel may lead to doubts about their student status. To avoid such complications, the council is urging students to take this matter seriously and make it a point to always carry their ID cards with them.
The notice encourages students who have not yet obtained their ID cards to procure them immediately upon their return to campus. The SRC signed off with the slogan, 'SRC CARES !!!', reinforcing their commitment to the well-being and security of the student body.
This directive is aimed at bolstering security measures and making identification processes more efficient across the university community.
