UNIPORT Bans Social, Religious Events

The University of Port Harcourt has announced an immediate suspension of all social gatherings and religious programmes on campus due to the ongoing semester examination period.

In a memorandum issued on March 2, 2026, by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. C.C. Wokocha, students were informed that no approvals would be granted for social or religious events until the conclusion of the exams.

The directive applies to all shows and religious activities and is effective immediately. The statement also thanked students for their cooperation in ensuring a conducive environment for examinations.
