The Federal University of Technology, Minna, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Postgraduate Programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The general admission requirements for PhD programmes include a Master's Degree from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, or any other University recognized by the Senate, with a weighted score average of 60% or a 'B' grade. For Master's Degree programmes, a minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) degree is required.

Candidates with a Third Class Honours Degree and at least two years of graduation experience may also be considered. Additionally, candidates with HND and a Postgraduate Diploma in relevant fields may be considered. NYSC certificate or exemption letter is required for admission into all Postgraduate programmes.

The duration of the programmes varies, with PhD programmes lasting a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of ten semesters for full-time students. Master's Degree programmes are expected to last a minimum of three semesters, while Postgraduate Diploma programmes last a minimum of three semesters.

The University has various schools, including the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, School of Food Science and Agricultural Technology, and School of Electrical Engineering and Technology, among others.

To apply, candidates should visit the University's website and fill out the online application form, which will be accessible from Monday, 27th February, 2026. The completed application form must be submitted online by Friday, 20th March, 2026.

A non-refundable application fee of N15,000.00 plus service charges is payable online via the Remita platform. Successful applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of N20,000.00 and undergo registration formalities.
