The Federal University Dutse (FUD) Senate has taken disciplinary action against several students for examination misconduct during the 2024/2025 Academic Session's Second Semester.
According to the university's official weekly newsletter, the Senate has expelled 20 students and rusticated 15 others based on the recommendations of the Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct. Two students were exonerated, and three received written warnings.
These decisions align with the university's approved categories of offences and corresponding punishments for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Director of Academic Affairs disclosed this development in a statement, noting that the affected students are from various faculties and departments.
The university maintains its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice, urging students to strictly follow academic rules and regulations.
