The Management of NAUB has taken notice of a disturbing trend where some students have been removing chairs and desks from classrooms to study on the roads and surroundings. Unfortunately, these chairs and desks are often left abandoned, littering the environment and disrupting the free passage of vehicles and pedestrians.
This practice is viewed as an act of indiscipline and a gross disregard for university property. As a result, all students who engage in this practice are directed to stop immediately. Those found removing chairs or desks from classrooms for unauthorized use or abandoning them outside designated areas will face severe disciplinary consequences.
According to the NAUB Students' Handbook, 2026 General Conduct (Page 53, section 3.1 b(ii)), such actions constitute misconduct and wilful damage or destruction of property belonging to the University or another person. All students are urged to cooperate with Management to maintain a clean, orderly, and conducive learning environment.
