These fraudulent accounts use the Vice-Chancellor's name, photograph, and personal details to deceive the public.

The University wishes to inform the public that Professor Simon Uchenna Ortuanya does not have a personal Facebook account, nor has he authorized anyone to operate one on his behalf. Therefore, any account claiming to represent him is fake and the work of impostors.

• The University of Nigeria Community and the general public are advised to disregard any messages or solicitations from these fake accounts.
• The accounts are fraudulent and aim to deceive unsuspecting members of the public.

The University is taking the necessary steps to report and remove these fake accounts. In the meantime, the public is urged to flag any Facebook accounts bearing the name of Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya as fake.
