Akwa Ibom State Poly: 2nd Semester Exam Timetable For…

Oct, 28Views: 4

The institution wishes to notify all students enrolled in the Consultancy programmes that the examination timetable for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session has been posted on the official notice boards across the campus.

Examinations are slated to begin on Monday, 2 November 2026 and will run through to Wednesday, 18 November 2026. All candidates should mark these dates in their calendars and plan accordingly.

Students are reminded to adhere strictly to the examination procedures outlined in Section 9 of the Students’ Handbook. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.

The following points are highlighted as essential reminders for all examinees:

  • 1. Appear for every scheduled exam carrying both your student identity card and a valid proof of fee payment. No alternative verification will be accepted from the first day of the session.
  • 2. The attendance register used in each venue will reflect the list of students officially registered for the respective programme as shown on the Course Report Form. Learners classified as Extra‑Time or Carry‑Over must clearly identify themselves before taking a seat.
  • 3. Write your personal details on the answer booklet as soon as you receive it. Completing this step at the outset prevents the need to add information after the paper has been submitted.
  • 4. Examination sessions are divided into a morning slot (09:00 – 12:00) and an afternoon slot (13:00 – 16:00). Punctuality is mandatory; the Student Handbook states that arriving more than thirty minutes after the start time will result in the loss of that exam.
  • 5. Only your identification documents and writing instruments may be taken into the exam hall. Possession of bags, mobile phones, ear‑pods, smart watches or any other electronic devices will be treated as examination misconduct and dealt with accordingly.
  • 6. Conduct a personal check before entering the venue. Any material related to the assessment found on your person will be recorded as a breach of examination conduct.
  • 7. Any grievance concerning an exam must be lodged before the assessment begins, especially if the course material was not delivered or fully covered. Protesting inside the examination hall is classified as a breach of peace under the Student Handbook. Direct concerns to the Head of Department or the Dean of Examination and Research (DEMR) within the stipulated timeframe.
  • 8. No individual may sit an exam on another’s behalf, nor may anyone impersonate a fellow student. The penalty for impersonation is expulsion for the student whose identity was misused and police arrest followed by expulsion for the impersonator.
  • 9. Resisting inspection by an examination monitoring officer, engaging in physical altercations, or any form of disruptive behaviour inside the hall constitutes an offence punishable by expulsion.
  • 10. The DEMR reserves the right to amend the date, venue, or invigilators for any assessment for reasons of convenience, security, or necessity. Any such changes will be communicated through official channels.
  • 11. Lecturers are not assigned to invigilate examinations for courses they teach, except when specially appointed by the DEMR or for practical examinations. Their involvement is limited to clarifying the question paper within the first thirty minutes after the start and the last thirty minutes before the end of the exam.
  • 12. No student will be removed from an exam hall for outstanding departmental dues, association fees, textbook costs, lab coat requirements, pending assignments, or any other miscellaneous charges. Once you have settled your school fees and shown proof of payment, no further payments are required to sit the exam.
  • 13. You are entitled to a peaceful and quiet environment while writing your papers. Please respect this right for yourself and your peers. After completing your exam, exit the venue promptly to allow others the same undisturbed conditions. Do not linger in verandas, corridors, or near windows.
  • 14. Maintain a modest dress code at all times. Avoid attire such as crop tops, shorts, sleeveless garments, or any clothing that does not provide appropriate coverage.

In essence, steer clear of any form of examination malpractice as detailed in the Students’ Handbook to avoid severe repercussions.

The administration wishes every candidate success in the upcoming examinations.

Thank you.
