Bayelsa State College of Art and Science, BYCAS full-time & part-time Diploma and National Diploma programmes admission forms for the 2016/2017 academic session are now on sale.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Bayelsa State College of Art and Science (BYCAS) various full-time & part-time Diploma and National Diploma programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session.

BYCAS DIPLOMA AND NATIONAL DIPLOMA – AVAILABLE PROGRAMMES & REQUIREMENTS.

A candidate may be accepted for admission following satisfactory performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) with the relevant subject combinations. Candidates must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate, or its equivalent, with at least five passes at credit level including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings.

National Diploma (ND) Entry Requirements for both Full-Time and Part-Time

Department Of Accountancy

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language and Mathematics, and any other three subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Economics, Business Studies. Principles of Financial Account, Commerce, Government, Geography, Statistics, Biology, Agricultural Science and Literature in English

Department Of Banking And Finance

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language and Mathematics, and any other three subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Economics, Business Studies, Principles of Financial Account, Commerce, Government, Geography, Statistics, Biology, Agricultural Science and Literature in English

Department of Petroleum Marketing & Business Studies

Five 0/ Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language and Mathematics, Chemistry and any other two subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Economics, Business Studies, Principles of Financial Account, Commerce, Government, Statistics, Physics.

Department of Office Technology and Management

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language and Mathematics, and any other three subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Economics, Business Studies, Office Practice, Typewriting, Shorthand, Principles of Financial Account, Commerce, Government, History, French, Geography, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Agricultural Science.

Department of Public Administration

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language and Mathematics, and any other three subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Economics, Business Studies, Principles of Financial Account, Commerce, Government, History, Geography, Statistics, Biology and Agricultural Science.

Department of Mass Communication

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examination which must include English Language and Mathematics, and any other three subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Economics, Business Studies, Principles of Financial Account, Commerce, Government, History, Geography, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science and Christian Religious  Knowledge/ Islamic Religious Studies and Literature in English.

National Diploma (ND) Entry Requirements for both Full-Time and Part-Time

 

Department of Computer Science

Five 0/Level credit passes in  SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include  English Language and Mathematics, Physics and any other three subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Economics, Government, Statistics, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition or Home Management.

 

Department Of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT)

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCL or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language and Mathematics, and any other three subjects from the following in not more than two sittings: Physics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science, and Geography.

 

Department of Agricultural Technology

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Agricultural Science, and any other from the following in not more than two sittings: Chemistry, Geography, Economics and Physics.

 

School of Engineering

National Diploma (ND) Entry Requirements for both Full-Time and Part-Time

 

Department Of Electrical / Electronic Engineering

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two subjects from the following: further Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural

Science. Credit passes in the Intermediate and Finals of the West African School Certificate Technical Examinations or its equivalent, in addition to a pass at credit level in the Federal Craft Certificate Examinations in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Technical Drawing.

 

Department Of Computer Engineering Technology

Five 0/Level credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent examinations which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two subjects from the following: Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science.
