University of Ilorin, UNILORIN produced 67 first class graduates. Convocation Ceremonies to kick off on Friday, 14th October 2016.
The University of Ilorin is turning out 67 First Class graduands during this year’s Convocation Ceremonies taking place between Friday and Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Addressing a pre- convocation press conference yesterday, the vice chancellor of the university, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali said the graduating students “comprise 1,903 post graduates,6069 under graduates of first degree and 66 diploma graduates.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the Postgraduate graduands consist of 166 Ph.D., 1,300 Academic Master, 186 Professional Master and 251 Diploma. There are 6069 first degree and 66 Diploma graduands also in various academic disciplines across 12 Faculties and the Institute of Education.
“Of our 6,069 first degree graduands 67 of them made the first class grade and 1,505 made second class upper division grade. Additionally, we have 3,200 second class lower division,1,124 third Class division and 70 pass.Those who had pass were 82 last year. The MB:BS graduands during the session are 103” Mr. Ambali disclosed.
Ambali expressed delight that the university under his watch in the last four years has recorded giant strides in academic excellence which according to him, have made the institution number one choice for admission seekers.
