Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has officially opened online applications and screening for admission into Nursing, Medical, Health Sciences, and related programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The university has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer full-time Bachelor’s degree programmes under the Faculty of Health Sciences, starting this session.

Approved Programmes for 2025/2026 Intake:
    •    Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.)
    •    Public Health (B.Sc.)
    •    Community Health Science (B.CHS.)
    •    Health Information Management (B.HIM)
    •    Science Laboratory Technology (B.Sc.)
    •    Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS)
    •    Environmental Health Science (B.EHS)

UTME Cut-Off Marks & Eligibility:
    •    Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.) – Candidates must have chosen AKSU as their first choice in UTME and scored at least 290.
    •    Other Programmes – Candidates must have a minimum UTME score of 265.

Candidates who did not select AKSU as their first choice are required to process a Change of Institution through the JAMB portal before applying.

Registration Portal Opens:
The online registration portal for the 2025/2026 admission exercise will open on Monday, 5 January 2026. Only candidates who complete the online registration will be considered for admission. Incomplete registration means automatic disqualification.

Required Documents for Online Screening:
Applicants must upload:
    •    2025 UTME Result Slip
    •    Birth Certificate
    •    Certificate of Origin
    •    AKSU PUTME Registration Confirmation Slip (2025)

How to Register and Upload Documents:
Registration is entirely online via the official AKSU portal:
    •    AKSU Admission Portal for 2025/2026 Screening

Applicants must:
    •    Register using their JAMB registration number
    •    Pay a ₦2,000 non-refundable registration fee (bank charges not included)
    •    Upload scanned documents in JPG format, with each file sized between 120KB and 150KB

Tip: Ensure files are within the required size range—oversized documents are the most common cause of registration errors.
