Centerbility of Maryland, Inc., a US-based nonprofit organization, is inviting first-year Medical and Nursing students in Nigeria to participate in a solution-oriented essay competition. The competition focuses on disability inclusion and economic empowerment.
The essay topics include: Creating Employment Pathways for People with Disabilities in Nigeria, How Nigeria Can Improve Access to Care and Opportunities for People Living with Disabilities, and Improving Early Diagnosis, Intervention, and Support Systems for Autism in Africa.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria: be a current 100 Level (First Year) student, enrolled in a Medical or Nursing program, and aged 16 years or older. The submission must be 1,000 words, original, and follow APA (7th Edition) referencing.
Prizes for the competition include: Winner: ₦250,000, Runner-Up: ₦150,000, Third Place: ₦100,000, Fourth Place: ₦50,000, and Fifth Place: ₦30,000.
