The temporary closure of the University South Gate Access Road has been rescheduled to a later date.
The reason for the postponement is to allow the completion of the ongoing University Primary and Secondary Schools Terminal Examinations, which are set to end on Wednesday, 15th July, 2026.
Consequently, the South Gate Access Road will now be closed from Thursday, 16th July, 2026, to facilitate the installation of the overhead beam formworks across the entrance of the gate as part of the ongoing construction works at the University South Gate.
During this period, vehicular access through the South Gate will be closed, while pedestrian access will remain open.
The affected individuals include:
These individuals are advised to use the North Gate and the West Gate for vehicular access in and out of the University and to cooperate with traffic management personnel to ensure orderly traffic movement until the South Gate vehicular access road is reopened.
The University Community is appealed to take note of this change and comply with the temporary traffic arrangements.
The University regrets any inconveniences this may cause and solicits for understanding, patience, and continued cooperation.
The University appreciates the cooperation of the University Community during this period.
