The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the release of the May 2026 Professional Examination results. A total of 11,835 candidates were successful, representing an overall average pass rate of 69%.
Breakdown of the results shows that the General Nursing Programme had 9,906 successful candidates with a 70% pass rate. The Post Basic Nursing Programmes saw 775 successful candidates with a 72% pass rate, while the Community Nursing Programme had 846 successful candidates with a 58% pass rate. For Foreign Trained Nursing (FTN), 308 candidates were successful with a 52% pass rate.
Heads of nursing training institutions are directed to check their institution’s results online at the NMCN portal starting Wednesday, 13th May 2026. Successful candidates should visit the NMCN portal to apply for registration and licensing. The specific modalities for registration and licensing will be communicated by Wednesday, 13th May 2026. Online registration formalities, including payment of fees, must be completed within 90 days from the date of result release.
A late penalty fee of sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (N16,250.00) per applicant will be applied for registrations after the 90-day window. An additional penalty fee will also be applied. The Registrar/CEO, NDAGI ALHASSAN, signed the release.
