Abia State University has commenced online screening of candidates for the 2026/2027 academic session.
To participate, candidates should upload their UTME scores, O'level and Degree Certificates, where applicable, to the ABSU Portal and JAMB portal.
Candidates qualified for the screening exercise include those who chose Abia State University as their 1st Choice, 2nd Choice, and those who did not choose the University at all in the UTME but want to change to Abia State University. Additionally, candidates who scored 150 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and possess the basic five O'level credit passes in accordance with the University entry requirements are eligible. All Direct Entry Candidates are also qualified.
The procedure for registration for the screening exercise involves logging into the ABSU website and making an e-payment of two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, in any of the following Banks: ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu, V Signature Bank, First Bank Plc, Eco Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, Union Bank Plc, UBA Plc, or via bank debit cards.
Candidates who do not register for the Post-UTME Screening exercise will not be considered for admission. For further details about the screening exercise, please email registrar@abiastateuniversity.edu.ng.
