The Plateau State University, Bokkos, announces a vacant position for the Registrar, effective 29th August, 2026. The Governing Council has commenced the process of appointing a suitable candidate to fill the position.

Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill the position of Substantive Registrar.

The Registrar is a Principal Officer of the University, serving as the Chief Administrative Officer, Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation, Convocation, and Custodian of the Law/Statutes of the University. The Registrar will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University.

To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum of a second-class Lower degree in a relevant field, plus at least 15 years of post-qualification cognate experience in administration or management. A relevant postgraduate degree, membership of relevant professional bodies, and experience as a Deputy Registrar for at least three years are also required.

The successful candidate should demonstrate competence in computer and internet use, be no more than 59 years old by 29th August, 2026, and articulate their vision for managing a 21st-century Registry Department.

The tenure of the Registrar is a single term of five years. The salary and conditions of service are as applicable for the Post of the Registrar in any Nigerian public University.
