Following numerous appeals from Faculty and Departmental Association leaders, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) leadership engaged with the University Management to appeal for an extension of the earlier scheduled FYB Week activities period.

The University Management has favourably considered and approved the SUG's appeal.

Consequently, all Faculty and Departmental Associations are informed to conduct their FYB Week activities between Monday, 17th August and Friday, 21st August, 2026.

All concerned associations are advised to make adequate preparations and ensure their activities are conducted peacefully, responsibly, and in accordance with University guidelines and regulations.

• Adhere to University guidelines
• Conduct activities responsibly

The Students’ Union Government appreciates the University Management's understanding and consideration, while assuring all Faculty and Departmental Associations of its continued commitment to representing and promoting students' interests.
