The Federal University of Kashere (FUKashere) management has introduced a movement restriction within and outside the university campus to ensure staff and student safety. This decision follows an emergency meeting of the University Security Committee, where the prevailing security situation was reviewed. The meeting, which led to the restriction, was held on Friday, January 16, 2026, and the details were announced in a general circular by the Office of the Registrar. As per the circular, movement on campus will be strictly prohibited after 11:00 PM until further notice. The university community is advised to plan activities accordingly and comply with the directive for safety and security reasons. The Chief Security Officer has been directed to ensure all campus gates are securely closed by 11:00 PM daily. The university management appreciates the understanding and cooperation of staff and students as the measure remains in force. The circular, signed by Dr. Nasir Lawal Abdullahi, Registrar of the Federal University of Kashere, was copied to relevant units, including the Vice-Chancellor and Deans.
