The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, invites the public to the Federal University of Technology, Minna's 34th Convocation Ceremony and 43rd Founders' Day. The event will confer various categories of degrees, diplomas, and awards.
PROGRAMME OF EVENTS Friday, 23rd January, 2026, features the Convocation Juma'at Prayer at the Main Campus Mosque, Gidan Kwano, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, 25th January, 2026, is the Convocation Church Service at The Chapel of Grace, Bosso Campus, at 9:00 a.m.
Monday, 26th January, 2026, includes the Vice-Chancellor's Press Briefing at the APC Building, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, 29th January, 2026, is the Final Football Match at the Football Field, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, at 4:00 p.m.
Friday, 30th January, 2026, features the Exhibition at the Suleimanu Kumo Convocation Square, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, and the Commissioning of Projects at Project Sites, both at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, 31st January, 2026, is the Convocation Lecture at the University Auditorium, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, 1 February, 2026, is the Convocation Ceremony and Founders' Day, with the conferment of degrees, postgraduate diplomas, higher degrees, and presentation of prizes at the Suleimanu Kumo Convocation Square, Main Campus, Kwano, at 10:00 a.m.
INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS All payments should be made into the Federal University of Technology, Minna TSA Account (No. 0190472161017) with the Central Bank of Nigeria. For details, visit: www.futminna.edu.ng Graduands must be physically present at the ceremony to receive their certificates and prizes. To collect their original certificates, graduands should present their original statement of results, final year clearance form, and final year identity card or letter of identification.
Invitation cards and Academic gowns can be collected from Secretaries of the respective Schools of the Graduands from Monday, 26th January, 2026. Issued Academic Gowns must be returned to the School Secretaries immediately after the ceremony before collecting original certificates. There will be a surcharge for any damaged Academic Gown.
SECURITY University Security personnel will direct guests to designated parking lots. Luggage and bags are not allowed into the Convocation Square Arena. Photographers, hawkers, and vendors must pay N500.00 (five hundred Naira) for registration and will not be allowed into the convocation square. Graduands will not be allowed into the Convocation Square after 10:30 a.m.
